    Claudio Carsughi, born on October 13, 1932, in Arezzo, Tuscany, is an Italian-Brazilian journalist, sports commentator, and engineer. He moved to Brazil in 1946, where he studied at Colégio Dante Alighieri in São Paulo. At 16, he began his journalism career as a correspondent for the Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, covering the 1950 FIFA World Cup. Carsughi is renowned for his expertise in football and motorsports, particularly Formula 1. He worked at Rádio Jovem Pan from 1957 to 2015, covering five consecutive World Cups between 1970 and 1986. He also contributed to Quatro Rodas and Oficina Mecânica magazines and served as director of Auto&Técnica. In 2015, Carsughi joined Rádio Nacional and participated in TV Brasil's sports programming. He is an avid supporter of the Italian football club Fiorentina. His daughter, Claudia Carsughi, authored the book Claudio Carsughi – 50 Anos de Brasil, chronicling his career and experiences in Brazil.
