Her first stage production was Summer Time Blues at the La Boîte Theatre followed by Loves Labour Lost with the Royal Queensland Theatre Company. Her first foray into television was behind the scenes. In 1976 she was a producers Assistant at the ABC on the News and This Day Tonight. In 1990 Sueyan appeared in two films for Warner Roadshow, Bloodmoon and Deap Sleep with Linda Blair and Tonny Bonner. In between gigs she kept herself busy with VoiceOver work for both radio and television. Sueyan moved to Sydney in 1991 and won the part of Barbara in the English farce Run For Your Wife followed by the Aussie favourite Dimboola. Then it was back to the ABC co-presenting a fun panel show TVTV - 'It felt like coming home, after all those years'. Since then Sueyan has made guest appearances in Water Rates, Marking Time, Between Two Worlds and Back To the Rafters but it was a small budget short film directed by Ryan Cooper called Left Behind that she is most proud of.
