Amory B. Lovins is an American physicist and professor, nicknamed "the Einstein of energy efficiency". He currently teaches civil and environmental engineering at Stanford University. From 2007 to 2019, he served as Chief Scientist of RMI (Rocky Mountain Institute), which he co-founded in 1982 and with which he continues to collaborate. He has designed numerous superefficient buildings, vehicles, and industrial plants, and has published 31 books and more than 880 papers.
