Raisa D'Oyley was born in South Florida to Jamaican immigrants. The youngest girl of seven, Raisa fell in love with the world of performing arts after attending the Broward Center for Performing Arts Summer Theater Camp. Though she ultimately pursued a career as a lawyer, Raisa's passion for the arts never wavered. She was a nationally ranked dramatic interpretation performer in high school Speech & Debate (Forensics), took performance courses while getting her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Florida, and attended as many Broadway shows as she could while practicing law in New York City. Raisa began pursuing acting as a career move in 2021 after moving to Atlanta, Georgia. Since then, she has been incredibly grateful for the many doors that have opened along the way. In addition to progressing from the beginner to advanced classes at Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshop, Raisa has booked a range of projects - leading roles in independent films, plays, commercials, a web series and documentary. Most notably, Raisa was a leading character in Forgetting Christmas, a holiday drama featuring the highly decorated Victoria Rowell and Emmy-nominated Melan Perez. Forgetting Christmas was nominated for Best Feature Film in the Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival in 2023 and won Best Feature Film at Prince George's Film Festival.
